 Synopsis

Isabelle's not in the market for a relationship—not even close. But she can't stop thinking about her one-night stand with a stranger on his birthday.

The rules were simple: one night of passion, no names, and all the cake.

Kieran wasn't looking for anything more than a fling.

And then he saw Isabelle and found his birthday wish.

What he didn't expect was for his mystery woman to stroll into his hometown of Starrycard Creek, Colorado, as . . .

His rival.

Now, he’s stuck with her night and day.

As they battle over the future of the town, the stakes become higher when a ruthless developer eyes the quaint mountain abode and jeopardizes everything Kieran and Isabelle hold dear.

The locals say love is always in the cards in Starrycard Creek. When it comes to Isabelle and Kieran, one thing is clear. What started as a one-night stand might be the twist of fate that saves the town and sparks a love story that could last a lifetime.

Review

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

I'm so divided by this book. It's a love- tolerate story... because hate is too harsh of a word, especially when I didn't hate it.

But I certainly struggled for the first 60% of the book. After that, I was hooked and unable to put it down.

It really is an intricately woven piece of paper webbing together peoples lives in a giant sheet and I love that. I loved that. I loved how everything came together and I loved the characters... I think for me it just felt that some parts were too drawn out.

Especially in the first part where I knew without a doubt that it was Isabelle .A. Adaire and Starrycard.... I knew that. It was ingrained on my memory....

I really struggled to get to 60% too. I was hellbent on reading it but also struggling to find that want to read it.

Id certainly say it's perfect for someone who hasn't got the attention span of a gnat. I'd never say it wasn't worth a read. These are things I struggled with. But at the same time I also find myself wanting to carry on the series and maybe read book 1 so I clearly can't loath the book.

This is just my opinion of a person who has an attention span of a gnat!
