Synopsis
"HE WANTS HER . . . BUT CAN HE LIVE WITH THE LIE HE WILL HAVE TO TELL TO KEEP HER?" Struggling with the biggest secret of his life, Caleb McCord is slowly being ripped to shreds. Spending every waking minute seeking for ways to numb the pain, he's living at the bottom of a bottle. Torn between love and the truth, Caleb resolves he can never tell anyone why his sister committed suicide - especially not Anna, his sister's best friend. Anna happens to be the lead singer of Caleb's band, and he's been secretly in love with her for a while, despite their age difference. When Caleb finds Anna in his arms, turning to him for solace, he realizes his dream to be with her is closer than ever. He's certain, however, that if Anna ever finds out the truth he'll lose her forever - something he refuses to let happen. But how can a new relationship hope to survive when it is built on lies? Despite his nagging guilt, Caleb knows he must keep this secret in the grave it's already buried in.

I do love a Lacey Weatherford book. Obviously a huge fan of the Chasing Nikki Series, so I was happy to receive Suicide Notes as a little freebie along the way.
The weird thing is, shortly after starting this book (as in the next 48 hours), i found myself calling 999 after witnessing someone sat on the ledge of a bridge over a bypass. At night you can barely see that ledge as you travel at 70mph and I felt sick knowing that someone could end their life and ruin the life of people around them. Because it's not just the victim that looses life as they know it.
Quite frankly, just the thought of what could have happened shook me and made me sick.
Luckily before the police arrived, she scooted the ledge, over the fence and ran back home.
Caleb and Anna are very close friends. Caleb being the older brother of her bestfriend.... who I currently can not remember the name of... bugger!
After her suicide, Caleb and Anna grieve together. Anna wanting to know why she did what she did and Caleb knowing.
When Caleb and Anna get on the same page though... it's great, even though Caleb knows the truth and is lying about it... its great. It's lovely.
The whole time though I was wanting to know what he's hiding about the suicide....
Sweet Mother of Baby J!.... that letter! The folowing revelations after it all...
Caleb needs therapy! How that guy is standing after all those knocks I dunno. And yet, it's only Anna who seems to fix him...
Personally, i'd be rocking in the corner so the guy has more strength than me.
