I spend more time dusting this blog off than I actually do writing on it, I swear!
But no matter what I always come back!
I may be old school and still clinging to the nostalgia of yearly Y2K but if I'm being honest, the 90's and early 00's were a vibe and I miss the simplicity of life. Some days I would give everything to have a Nokia or a flip phone especially when I'm on a sassy call. And you'd better believe I'd be thrilled if I was handed a mixed tape!
The scary side of that though is realising how fast that time has gone. 40 is peeking around the corner at me and I still live in my childhood bedroom. (I have moved out in the past but life isn't always rainbows and butterflies.)
It's almost June as I write this... almost 6 whole months in to 2025 and it only seems like yesterday I was booking a trip to NYC and that was over a year ago.
Every day I'm waking up and going through the motions of life and implementing little bits to it to help me achieve goals, but realistically, I've got no idea what a huge goal would look like to me. Why? because how the hell am I ever going to achieve it? I work part time, so that my mom and I can dish up dad sitting (he has Dementia and Alzheimer's) while also earning some money and each month I budget so I can make sure I'm doing something responsible but it's just not scratching the itch that is my life flying by.
So where do I start! Caroline, start somewhere! Make a list and make yourself accountable for your actions.
- Budget better & harder
- Stop buying for the sake of it
- Pull in some overtime
- Actually work on your Etsy shop
- Set financial goals for saving & Etsy
- De-Clutter everything. Focus on using and/or donating
- Use what you already own.
- Aim for a "under-consumption" & "zero waste" life.
- If you can do it cheaper or for free, that's what you're going to do! *sobs while glancing at her nails*
- Eat cleaner. Meal Prep. Take control of your diet. You know why? Because ...
- you need to move your sorry ass!
