Synopsis
What's good for the gosling is good for the gander...
At least according to the sunshine and snowflakes woman whose amnesia episode has her believing she's been assigned to be my daughter's new nanny.
And, of course, I can't really fire the fake hire because the last thing I need as the captain of my pro hockey team is to be trending for more drama.
I guess you could say this season won't be easy.
Especially for me, the veteran.

Review
ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
The plot for this book.. the story was great. I loved that.
What knocked it down for me, is the hockey terminology - which there is a glossary for - and the additions of -ski to words. I found it made the read too distracting. Personally and in turn, I had to skim read it, because I was personally struggling.
Igor and Joey cross paths after an accident that leaves Joey with Amnesia. Igor caused it. Upon waking with said Amnesia Joey assumes she is the nanny and Igor fails to correct her leading them down the path in which they are within each others company a lot, attracted to each other and both confused about the whole situation.
One of my peeves with Joey is, she's interjecting her views on Igors parenting from the get go. Personally I feel like that should have come after a little more conversation. Regardless, I couldn't imagine telling anyone how to parent their child especially someone you've only just met.
Regardless of if that's due to the amnesia or not.
I enjoyed the story though and would love to read more from Xavier in the future. As an author, she knows how to fully interject herself into the characters and in to the story and that I love. It's just my British ass who has only just started watching Ice Hockey that is the problem. Not the author or the book ♥
